More about this event...
Pedal to Paris 2009 Thursday 3rd - Monday 7th September 2009 The Royal British Legion Pedal to Paris ride is up there with the best. If you want to challenge yourself to a long distance ride, where you are afforded the same support and back up as the Tour de France, look no further. 2009 will be the 14th year The Royal British Legion has put the ride on, and it goes from strength to strength. We cater for all standards of riders. The event is enormous fun, and is the only charity ride in which you arrive at the Arc de Triomphe under full police escort. The route covers around 280 miles during the four days, and we can assure you there will be no mountains to climb, although a few of the hills maybe a challenge. The cycling is only one aspect of this great ride. Pedal to Paris has long been a social event, a ride where you can meet like minded cyclists and make new friends. The ambience is superb, with a general party spirit enveloping all who take part. The Royal British Legion is the nation's leading Armed Forces charity providing care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces past and present and their families.
